The Victory in Europe Reenactment Association has an enthusiastic and ever growing membership who collect the uniforms and equipment of World War II allied soldiers and display them in appropriate environments so that the public, young and old alike can remember, learn and experience an important period in history at first hand. From the Home Guard to elite British Gliderborne Troops the members of V.E.R.A. have a reputation of authenticity that is hard to beat. Working with such organisations as Historic Scotland, The Kings Own Border Regiment Museum at Carlisle and with a permanent base at the Yorkshire Air Museum, Elvington they 'bring history alive' with their authentic portrayal of the WWII soldier.
We are the 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment Living History Group, based in the United Kingdom near Nottingham in England. The aim of 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment Living History Group is to portray members of the 508th PIR circa 1944/1945. The 508th PIR, attached to the 82nd Airborne Division were based on Wollaton Park in Nottingham before they went on to serve in Europe on D-Day, Operation Market Garden and the Ardennes during World War Two. Group Members honour the memory of the veterans by attending shows all over the UK and Europe displaying and using the equipment that was used all those years ago by the original regiment. By doing this, we aim to make people aware of what went on during the war years.
Summer of 44 formed in 1997 around several friends sharing an interest in British Airborne history of World War Two, specifically the period encompassing "The Summer of 1944". Since its inception the group has slowly grown to include other like-minded individuals, most with period military vehicles. The Summer of 44 are a very flexible Living History Display concentrating on the XXI Independent Parachute Company. Through our extensive collection of vehicles, weapons and equipment we can adapt according to the needs of the moment, and mobilise in a variety of guises. This flexibility combined with our high level of professionalism has led to Film and TV work, magazine and literary articles and work in support of the Royal British Legion and other veteran's organisations.
Thunder From Heaven is a living history association that was formed by a group of airborne enthusiasts, with the aim of perpetuating the memory of the veterans of the second world war. That goal has been reached by us, through displays and exhibitions, at Military shows, Museums and in schools. The main theme of our endeavors has been the U.S. Airborne soldier; both the Paratrooper or the "Glider Riders". We also re-enact images of the American Infantryman, or G.I. as he was known. Furthermore we also do impressions of British or German units that compliment the main displays.

Based in the UK, Kompanie 1 is currently one of the largest re-enactment societies in Europe taking part in public and private battles around the country as well as putting on static displays at officially organised military and WWII shows. Founded in 1997, Kompanie 1 started life just portraying the 12th SS Hitlerjugend, but due to the social and enjoyment aspect of KP1 other units were attracted, and so, Kompanie 1 currently portray a wide range of German, UK and US units.
The First Allied Airborne Association pride itself on accuracy and can represent any US Airborne unit in the ETO, and is the only known group in the UK at this time to represent the Elite 509th Parachute Infantry Battalion in the Southern France Campaign and have its own L4 Grasshopper air asset when representing the Airborne Field Artillery units of the 82nd Airborne. Although the Association can move from one unit to another depending on the show requirements, its parent unit is Baker Company 1st Bn 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment 82nd Airborne Division and it is this unit all new recruits muster into before branching out to represent other units as and when the correct kit is sourced.
